Went to races in Ionia July 16-17th and had a great time. It was a loooong drive but met some great people. Special thanks to Ted Leirones, one of the last great tuners, that his head is not bigger than he is. He has not been recognized for who he is and what he knows. A real down to earth kind of guy that loves the sport not for money but for the sport. Thanks to him I was able to go down the track and got rid of the gremlins. What could have been the second worse trip of the season turned out to be the best! AGAIN THANKS TO TED. Also want to thank everyone associated with Ionia Sanddrags.

Thanks John, It's great to see you out racing again. Sorry I never made it over to your pit when we were in Atoka. I've got a couple more ideas for ya to try out. At tracks like Ionia or Grain Valley you should be able to run some mid to high 60's without much trouble. The wife and I are taking the Harley around Lake Michigan and wont be back 'til Sunday. So I'll be in touch next week. Feel free to call me anytime. My cell # is 616-862-6774. Thanks again, Ted.

I second that!! Ted is an awesome person to work with. He took time away from his cars to help a rookie crew in need and that speaks volumes about a person and a racer! He didn't hesitate to share his knowledge and explain how to fix some of our gremlins. We couldn’t have run into a better group of ppl and thanks to everyone for the welcome we received hope to see you guys in sept if you can make it down. Thanks again to Ted for the learning experience!!

It sounds like there is finally going to be some good news in Sand Drag Racing in the midwest sounds like our track owners and going to do something nobody else has been able to do. Work together!!!!!! if what I here is true, there is going to be a 4 track points series set up next year. With the winners named at the final. From what I understand you have to attend all 4 races to be in the points series and that the races are going to be spaced far enough apart that there will be no excuses for not showing up. I understand that its for pro 1 Quads and cars and 2.95 cars and BA cars. About time if its true well done boys. Dee and I will be the first to say we will make the rounds.

Mud sticks around here, watch who you throw it at. Best thing that could happen. Now get the classes, times, and rules in order and you can go racing just about anywhere. Alot more tracks that can join also. Start small and build it right for everyone.

Lets here some more ? What tracks, classes, when & where ? Can't race around here it rains all the time. Looking for dry track to race at. How about starting at Atoka, then Big River, Thunder Valley, Little Sandy's, then on to MI. Might have a track or two in Ohio/Indy area ? Would make a great race circuit and bring the tracks together. We talked about this for the last two years. Lets start the ball rolling, I'll be happy to host the first one this Sept. Give it a name and off we go ! Full race schedule next year.
